Members The Insomniac
I would just try to learn as many as I could. If I was auditioning someone and they came knowing most of the material, I'd be pretty damn happy. I hate when you tell someone to learn a few songs, and they play the {censored} out of them...but then you don't really have anything else to play even though you REALLY wanna hear more from them. That's not bad advice. You should be able to play about half this list just by jotting down the changes and listening to the songs a few times. Smooth is pretty much a booger if you take the time and really work it out.

Members bholder
Do the whole keyboard riff, not the bass part, from "Superstition", slap/pop.

Members Optimus Prime
Do the whole keyboard riff, not the bass part, from "Superstition", slap/pop. Years ago I learned that that riff was keyboard. I started playing bass because I THOUGHT it was bass. I was sad. But you should learn Superstition anyway. Members collinwho
Do the whole keyboard riff, not the bass part, from "Superstition", slap/pop. They have a keyboard player, otherwise that was first on the list.
Members Rowka
The actual bass part to "Superstition" is pretty dang boring.
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted August 13, 2007 CMS Author Share Posted August 13, 2007 Learn any specific songs from the list you either chose or had given to you, as well as possible. Learn at least the basics of *all* the songs if you are given more than a week before audition. But most of all, go to the audition with one thing in mind; lock with the drummer, listen for the band's 'feel', and don't bring your wife/girlfriend/SO. Ok, that's 3 things... Members Mudbass
I'd say Jump, Jive and Wail. Yeah, that would get my vote out of everything on the list.
Members dragon9666
I don't see any hardrock in that set-list.
