Members skatalite
I want to add a power conditioner and rack tuner to my rack, but I need a new rack. A six space seems too big, unless it has wheels, and coming across five spacers (so I'd have on empty space above the amp) would be great. TuffBox makes one for rather cheap, found here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280140630414&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=018 Any opinions? Members mike fitzwell
How far back is the fan on the top of the 1001? Power conditioners and rack tuners are usually pretty shallow and might not cover the fan if mounted directly above the amp. You could be able to get away with a 4 space if that's the case. Members skatalite
Looks to be in the middle. I know tuners and power conditioners are about five inches deep, and the GK is eight inches deep. Think I could pull off a four space?
Members skatalite
OK, so, it'd be like this in the rack: Power conditioner (7.5 inches deep)Tuner (4.5 inches deep)Amp (8 inches deep) If I have that 3.5 inch space, it might work? I've kept my amp in a 2-space for the past year with (knock on wood) no problems.
