Members bassman1956
Ha! My brother travels a lot as a videographer. He and his producer arecurently in Memphis for a shoot, totally unrelated to Elvis, and wound up in the vigil last night. So he calls me up and holds up his cell phone so I can here the announcer and the crowd. He says they broke out the gear and started recording, and some of the footage even looks pretty good. I never know where he's going to call me from.

Members chris-dax
Elvis.... Elvis playing the first O string bass....Note the use of the "no-pic" pick for a more percussive attack...
Members Cortfan
There were 75,000 (estimated) people at the vigil last night. The temp was 99 degrees at 8:00 p.m. One elderly woman died in her tent at the campgrounds across the street from Graceland. It just keeps growing........ Members Bonoman
I remember I was at a party when I heard about his death. I was in the backseat of my mom's big brown Cordoba and I remember it was so hot that the faux-leather seats were burning my legs. I remember we were on Steeles Ave getting ready to turn right onto Leslie Street. I was three, a month away from my fourth birthday. I remember all of this because it was the first time I'd ever seen my mom cry.

Members RSBro
I'm going to have the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo tonight at Chuy's. Fun will be had. My mom still has a bandanna she caught that he threw out into the audience one year at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Kinda cool.
