Members willsellout Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 I have played quite a few basses that were so ergonomic and comfortable to play. Some examples are:Cort A5Zon Sonus I also like the tummy contours on the Spector and Thumb BO that I owned for a time..I think that really adds to you connecting to your bass. What basses have you played that are ergonomically comfortable? Dan
Members guitargod0dmw Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 I like my SR5. It's got very comfortable cut aways...
Members rummy Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 Jerzey Drozd Dude, I was gonna say the same!
Moderators Kindness Posted August 16, 2007 Moderators Posted August 16, 2007 Dude, I was gonna say the same! And I've played a lot of different basses in the past 12 years. Most are comfortable. Nearly all are playable. Nothing else strikes me as ergonomic as Karl's bass.
Members Mytola Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 All of my basses are very comfortable and ergonomic, at least to me.
Members Richy Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 I find that my beer gut sits perfectly in the top of my Marleaux.
Members Crescent Seven Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 Spector. I love mine. I want to upgrade the electronics, but the playability is right there...C7
Members willsellout Posted August 16, 2007 Author Members Posted August 16, 2007 I find that my beer gut sits perfectly in the top of my Marleaux. I love Marleaux basses. Haven't ever found one used though. Dan
Members bassman1956 Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 And I've played a lot of different basses in the past 12 years. Most are comfortable. Nearly all are playable. Nothing else strikes me as ergonomic as Karl's bass. Aw, thanks guys!
Members basshunter Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 My fretted JAF is the epitome of ergonomic comfort.
Members jmb374 Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 Fender's fit me very well. My spector was uncomfortable when I played it sitting down. The lower horn dug into my leg, which is one of the reasons it's gone now. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: The spector is gone, my leg is still here.
Members 82Daion Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 MTD and Modulus are pretty comfy to play as well. The Daion is OK. The Alembic is an ergonomic nightmare.
Members JeffBass Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 Nice bass Basshunter. My most ergonomic is my Spector Euro (same dimensions as USA model). They are built for comfort. Second is my Yamaha RBX. I did play an old Fender re-issue that was great and so was an older model MM Sterling.
Members fealach Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 My Tobias Basic is the best I've played. I'd love to try a Torzal twist bass, I've had some tendonitis problems and if they live up to the hype I'd seriously have to think about selling some or all my basses to get a couple.
Moderators Kindness Posted August 16, 2007 Moderators Posted August 16, 2007 Aw, thanks guys! What? You didn't build it!
Members bassred Posted August 16, 2007 Members Posted August 16, 2007 My Schecter feels like it belongs on me.... but I haven't felt a bass that was 'uncomfortable' some just didn't play as nicely as others.
Members Darkstorm Posted August 17, 2007 Members Posted August 17, 2007 BC Rich Warlocks & Bichs as the best to me. The rear body cutout also benefiting that as place that rests around leg. Beast would be except the upper top horn needs backside bevel to not poke one in midsection. Lol.
Members willsellout Posted August 17, 2007 Author Members Posted August 17, 2007 I want to know what other basses besides Warwicks and Spectors have the tummy contours? Dan
Members Jazz Ad Posted August 17, 2007 Members Posted August 17, 2007 My JAF is one of the most ergonomic basses I played.Curbow, Tune and Status are fantastic.
