Members txbass68 Posted August 19, 2007 Members Posted August 19, 2007 I have a 6 month old Music Man Stingray. I used to play Fender P-Bass back in the day. I now have the urge to trade off the Stingray for an American P-Bass. Is this insane?

Members ec437 Posted August 19, 2007 Members Posted August 19, 2007 Yes, it is completely insane. YOU FOOL!
Members Retrovertigo Posted August 19, 2007 Members Posted August 19, 2007 Add a set of P-bass pickups to your Stingray.
Members txbass68 Posted August 19, 2007 Author Members Posted August 19, 2007 I grew up old school without active electronics. That might be why. Or it could be the neck. I am not really sure.
Members Navybass65 Posted August 19, 2007 Members Posted August 19, 2007 It's whatever you feel most comfortable with. Remember this, if anyone calls you crazy, that's their opinion, not yours. Only you know yourself. Go with what makes you feel best.
Members Thumper Posted August 19, 2007 Members Posted August 19, 2007 If you want a P-bass, go for it.
Members Rippin' Robin Posted August 19, 2007 Members Posted August 19, 2007 If you want a P-bass, go for it. +1.
Members mobass Posted August 19, 2007 Members Posted August 19, 2007 It's not crazy. I'd prefer the stingray to the P. Slap will sound better(imo) on the ray, but that may not be an issue for you. They both are nice basses.
Members Buck62 Posted August 20, 2007 Members Posted August 20, 2007 Nope, you are not crazy! The only way to make sure you're certified "bonkers" is to sell the Stingray to me for $50.00 US.... that should do it.
Members txbass68 Posted August 20, 2007 Author Members Posted August 20, 2007 $50 BUCKS HUH. You got it. Come get it. LOL
Members jonathan_matos5 Posted August 20, 2007 Members Posted August 20, 2007 whats wanting to trade one instrument for another have to do with you being crazy?
Members i_wanna_les_paul Posted August 20, 2007 Members Posted August 20, 2007 whats wanting to trade one instrument for another have to do with you being crazy? +1 We have a guy posting here who traded his custom-made Hanewinckel off...
Members bassman1956 Posted August 20, 2007 Members Posted August 20, 2007 The only questionable thing here is that you'd actually get rid of one bass in order to get another... Just get the next bass!
