Members chunky-b Posted August 20, 2007 Members Posted August 20, 2007 If nothing else, take one of your existing chips to Best Buy or CompUSA. They may not can tell you what you need, but it is fun as hell to watch them squirm and try to figure it out...

Members Jazz Ad Posted August 20, 2007 Members Posted August 20, 2007 They tell you in the specs that it's DD2 - 533. Why don't you just believe it ?
Members baracuda2004 Posted August 20, 2007 Author Members Posted August 20, 2007 They tell you in the specs that it's DD2 - 533. Why don't you just believe it ? Well when I called and asked the people at the store i'm going to they didn't know what that was, but I called back and told them PC4200 and they knew exactly what I was talking about. I was just trying to figure out what PCXXXX ram numer it was i.e. 1100/4200/ect. so they'd better know what I was looking for. That everest program is pretty cool btw:thu:
Members guitargod0dmw Posted August 20, 2007 Members Posted August 20, 2007 You would be best to order through newegg too. They are going to be a ton cheaper than any store...and their shipping is fast! How'd I know that? I'm in IT...
Members rummy Posted August 20, 2007 Members Posted August 20, 2007 Yup. Buying hardware from Newegg since 01 or 02. Their customer service is top notch.
Members SteveyDevey Posted August 20, 2007 Members Posted August 20, 2007 Another vote for newegg. I wouldn't say they're a ton cheaper, but they have good prices, super fast and very cheap shipping.
Members baracuda2004 Posted August 20, 2007 Author Members Posted August 20, 2007 HOLY CRAP!! The instore prices around here are insane compared to NEWEGG. Our 1Gb ram cards in-store are $90+tax so about $100 and on NEWEGG they're $50, that's freakin half the price.. im' definately going that way. But until then I came home with this to hold me over instead/ Both Guild Wars and Warcraft were only $1.99 each the Memory card was $2.99 the GC was $39.99 refurb.. ZELDA $49.99 and Lost Planet was $39.99 but I had a membership card to EB so I got 10% off the used stuff and I used my money from paying off GTAIV since it got delayed till March of next year and I just left the $5 to keep my reservation and added $5 for Halo 3.. So the total was only $79.42.. not bad I say. I've been wanting to play this new Zelda game for a while now.
