Members FebruaryStars
I'm doing some short trip traveling with my bass... mostly train and bus traveling into metro areas. I'm looking for a backpack style case (not a over the shoulder type) with some decent storage and thick padding. I don't want a rectangular style soft case but rather a gig bag style case... I'm only looking to store a 2 cables, my BBE Sonic Stomp some strings cleaning rag... not a lot. Can anyone recommend me a good sturdy case? I really don't care about spending $$ to protect a $$$$ bass.

I had a fender delux gig bag that was padded pretty well and had some compartments for cables and stuff....

Members FebruaryStars
A hardshell case isn't ideal for making your way through crowded city streets... I need something more agile. Plus it's kinda hard to carry a hardshell case and other things.

Members bassman1956
I got a gig bag from Warwick. Pretty well padded, sling strap + backpack straps. Couple of pockets. Forget what they listed at, but got the store down to $50.
Members whoneedstherapy
+1 on the warwick rockbag. Heaps of padding and enough pockets to suit most people.
Moderators Kindness Posted August 22, 2007 Moderators Share Posted August 22, 2007 I am happy with the Roadrunner I recently picked up. It is weird that the backpack straps and the main compartment on the back of the bag are mutually exclusively functional, but there is still plenty of storage for what I throw in a gig bag. I've got a rockbag, and I've been pretty happy with mine, for what it's worth.

Members guitargod0dmw
I have a Ritter, but the Incase will be my next bag...they are like a hardshell gig bag! Very nice...
Members Westsailor
Most gig bags could use some extra padding at the bottom. Doncha think? I really like the Roadrunner I have (it's holding up extremely well) but I do stuff a rolled up hand towel in the bottom for my bass to 'sit' on. Members rummy
I'm shopping for one as well. The Warwick one looks nice for the price. My 'Ran came with a hard case, so I really should be saving up for a Moody.
