Members Anesthesia Posted August 23, 2007 Members Posted August 23, 2007 Well that was a chore and a half. Not only did I have to remove the handle on the side (in retrospect this should have been obvious) but I ALSO had to unscrew the little silver thing on the rack mount ears (because the rack case wouldn't close with them on), nearly stripping one of the screws in the process because the little {censored}ers were in so tight. Probably the rack case's fault....but annoying none the less. Does your GK fit in the rack with the silver dealies on?
Members guitargod0dmw Posted August 23, 2007 Members Posted August 23, 2007 I don't have a GK...but I'd certainly expect it to fit without me modding it! What kind of rack do you have?

Members Anesthesia Posted August 23, 2007 Author Members Posted August 23, 2007 You might be able to get deeper covers made for it if it bothers you (it would bother me!)... Nah....the silver dealies are already removed...and I prefer the looks of the GK without them anyway. Just annoying that I had to do it in the first place.
Members been_effected Posted August 23, 2007 Members Posted August 23, 2007 since when did you have a GK or is the rack new?
Members skatalite Posted August 23, 2007 Members Posted August 23, 2007 I removed my silver handle dealies.
Members Thunderbroom Posted August 23, 2007 Members Posted August 23, 2007 I had a 700RBII for a few months. I never racked it though. Having the fan on the top of the amp really turned me off and I sold it to a guy in Poland.
Members rpsands Posted August 23, 2007 Members Posted August 23, 2007 I had to remove my silver handles too. I was thinking about cutting a hole in the top of the rack and putting grating over it, for the fan, but wouldn't provide any spill protection which sucks...but then if anyone put a drink on top of my rack I'd be beating them senseless anyway.
Members Anesthesia Posted August 23, 2007 Author Members Posted August 23, 2007 since when did you have a GK or is the rack new? I've had a 400RB-IV and 410SBX for a few months now man. I wanna get the 1001 and another cab
Members james on bass Posted August 23, 2007 Members Posted August 23, 2007 I had a GK800RB for years and it's not rack mountable either. I took off the handle, and drilled a couple small holes on the other side to make a mounting kit for my rack case.
