Members mrcrow Posted August 26, 2007 Author Members Posted August 26, 2007 If you're going to have a preamp, I'd go with the 4-knob.But passive is not a bad option. that sums it up for me as well...i set everything flat...and since the combo and sansamp are a few steps away i use the bassi have plugged the sansamp straight into the effects return on the combo but its just a bit low on power using the sansamp as a sole preamp
Members bassred Posted August 26, 2007 Members Posted August 26, 2007 i set myy amps flat, I use active basses to get my tone adjusted. I have an active preamp inline for my upright bass, so with the amp flat I can get a nice sound with both my electric and my upright.... so I've got three band EQ's on both mine.... PA channel has little to no EQ, unless the room calls for a little adjustment.
