Members Robson780
Quick Q about ohms here. On some cabs, (the Mesa Powerhouse/Roadready cabs in particular) there are Speakon and 1/4" jacks labeled "Paralleled Out" on the jackplate. I assume these are for wiring more cabs in, well, parallel. My question is, if a 4 ohm cab has a cable connecting it at the "paralleled out" jack, running into the regular input jack on another 4 ohm cab, will the amp now be carrying a 2 ohm load, or will it remain at 4 because there is only one cable running out of the speaker out? I'm trying to be as clear as possible, so in other words, will running two 4 ohm cabs in parallel reduce the ohms? Or will the amp just power the first cab at 4 ohms and the second one just run off of it? Thanks.
