I'm just saying it would be nice to have someone in the white house who could speak as well as her.

I can, I just choose to pretend its the sweltering hellhole it is and forget about it.

Then I look out my window and see trees:D

I've got a tree out my window too, dammit! Oh wait... That's not a tree. It's a shrub. No, it's not a shrub either... It's Shahadat.:)

I love that only you know what I'm talking about right now. You'll be coming into the city in two or three years, by the way. I'm getting married. We're having a rock n' roll wedding. You'll like it.

Yeah... well... it doesn't much surprise me.

George Carlin said it best:

"The average IQ is 100. That's pretty f*ck*n stupid. And half the population is dumber than that."

assuming this is an accurate quotation and he was not attempting to use irony, Mr. Carlin should learn the difference between mean and median.

He's actually pretty articulate. My wife saw him speak at Cisco, along with about 300 other Cisco emplolyees. The ones with whom I've spoken about it had really positive things to say. I guess he really surprised quite a few people over there with, not only his ideas on where high tech could go, but also how well his ideas were articulated. My wife, like everyone else, went in expeciting the typical GW that is represented in the press. She claims to have seen a very relaxed and highly intelligent guy. I imagine that if cameras were on us 24/7, people would have a pretty easy to make us look like complete morons.

My mother is a tutor for learning disabled people. She and some of her colleagues are convinced he's dyslexic.

His behavior matches most adult dyslexia patterns. If he's speaking from a manuscript or teleprompter he's okay, if he's just relating to people he's amazing. It's when he needs to recall specific information that things can become jumbled (e.g., when he's clearly thinking of a word and everyone knows which word he means but he mangles it on the way out).

As for the girl, wow...

"I believe that our education, such as...South Africa, and the Iraq, everywhere, like such as...and I believe that they should, our education over here in the US should help the US or should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and the Asian Countries"

Also astounding, the audience wasn't stunned silent and actually managed to applaud...

Good grief. It looks even worse in print. :freak:

That's it! we Americans deserve and are entitled to FREE GOVERMENT provided maps!! How can we ever find where we are going and move forward as a nation with no Goverment map program!!!!

This is the type of quote that I would put in my signature if I were the type of person to put quotes in my signature.

I'm dyslexic, as is Gavin Newsome, and I can totally identify with what your mom says.
