Amp/Cab Specific Question...

hey all..

 

got an offer of a trade from a craislist posting...seeking advice on the gear...

 

asked him the brands of the cabs, sice he does not specify (maybe homemade?)...

 

anyone have thoughts?

I have a classic Crate B200XL amp, 200 watts @ 4 ohm. Also two ported bass speaker cabinets, each rated for 300 watts, 600 watts peak with Emminence speakers. One with 2 - 10" the other with 1 - 15". This system sounds incredible, very versital. I can take pictures if want. Let me know if you are interested in a trade.

 

i do like the idea of having the 10's and the 15...

How much is the trade value?

 

Personally, I'd take a look at some of the advice in your other thread and get out and hear more setups before you commit to one.

the trade value would be a straight swap for the bass in my sig...my real question is whether the gear would be equivalent to what i would buy if i sold it and made a purchase using the proceeds and additional funds...

 

thats unclear i guess...if i can make the swap and have decent gear without expending another penny, it may be worth it...so is the gear decent...the cabs are still and unknown quantity, though there are two....

 

anyone own that amp?

it is fun to try stuff....really fun...

 

but im not going to pursue this guy without checking things out first...just prudent use of time...

Yeah...my post wasn't as clear as it should have been. Did you read your other thread recently?
