this is my first actual head+cabinet configuration and im running a yorkville xs800h with the xc410 cab, 600 watts being put out into a cab that can handle 600 watts. so the question is, how far can the cones move untill i will actually damage them.

o and on the site it says they are "long excursion speakers" (whatever that means)

You need to listen to them more than watch them. If you hear distortion or clacking, you have a problem. Some speakers look like they're gonna fly out of their chassis and they're just doin' their thing...

Are you going to play bass while holding a set of calipers to measure the excursion?

Like C7 says, listen to your speakers and they will speak to you.

You can also treat your speakers like your girlfriend; tell them to shut the {censored} up already, and they will speak to you.
