Not sure when they stopped. But Dean Markley made some pretty nice combo amps for bass and guitar in the 35-50 watt range in the 1980's. Voice char of the little 10" bass combo, thinks was 35 or 45 watts, was good woody tone. Better then the Carvin 10" combo had looked at, at the time.

I have a Dean Markley CD-60 112 combo tube amp for guitar that I've used for over 15 years - when I got it, I had both a '70 100 watt Superlead and slant 412, and a Twin Reverb - sold both of 'em, and kept the Dean Markley.... It has never failed to impress anyone who's played/heard it... I also saw it's "big brother" not long ago - a CD-120 that was identical to mine(although not in as good of condition), but it was 120 watts, with a 50% power switch - hell of an amp right there...

Dean Markley made some real nice amps that were sort of "boutique" in their day...

My buddy had a 60 watt DM guitar combo, it had a really nice clean tone, andtook well to pedals and such in the chain before the input..
