Ok. this is different than my "embarrassing confessions" thread. This is a thread where you can post something you watch, or listen to, or websites you visint (no porn links!!!), that some of us might not know about, or in other words, your favorite time wasters!!!

I have 3:

1) I can't seem to stop watching "Scrubs"! I thought the show was funny, but it was never "Must- see TV for me, but now that it's syndicated...... Wow!!! (Same with Becker, but I've seen all of those now). Especially John C> McGinley as Dr. Cox! That guy's hilarious!!!

2) There's this bizzarre show on BET (A network whose existence usually bugs me) called

Hell Date", which is a cross between those other dateing shows, like "Blind Date" and Candid Camera, Basically, some sap, male or female, is sent out on a date with someone who begins to act in a most unusual way. When he person begins to freak out, a midget in a Devil suit comes out, and they know they're on Hell date.

Some of the Scenarios have been a hot chick whose really into you, but is suffering from intestinal distress, or a guy whose fresh out of prison and having flashbacks. It's pretty funny!

3) MTV's Made- I cannot stop watching this. It's pure manipulation, but I really enjoy it. The concept, for the uninitiated, is to take someone who has a dream that is completely unrealistic, and make them into it.

My favorite was the classical cellist who wanted to be a rapper.

Next victim?

Let me start by saying that I don't like, nor do I watch network or cable TV. I have a DVD player which I use quite a bit, but I don't even have an antenna hooked up to the house.

That said, I've been watching the heck out of The Office on DVD.

Also, I Sudoku.

I'm addicted to the various home improvement shows on HGTV, TLC, etc. My wife and I can spend happy hours lying in bed on a weekend morning just critiquing the designs. Meanwhile, we have never painted a single wall in our apartment, despite the encouragement of the management (they want us to feel at home).

And we worked up covers of Ratt's "Round and Round" and Poison's "Talk dirty to me" the last 2 times my band rehearsed :)

If I could afford to go back to college, do you think I'd be sitting here watching MAde???

I have another one: I often listen to Frosty, Heidi and Frankon the radio. They occupy my time while driving. At first, I found them annoying, but strangely compelling. Now, I am a big fan.

You can stream the show if you want a sample......

NHRA. :o

I love drag racing. When they come to town (2 times a year) I take a day off work and go to the track. I'll wander around the pits, have a couple beers, have a hot dog or two, watch some qualifying runs, get a snoot full of nitromethane, look at girls, look at cars...

It's a completely selfish day for me where the rest of the world can just wait till I get home. :)

"The West Wing"

I'll watch it all day. *sigh*

What a good show!

Slight aside: Did anyone else notice that 2 seasons ago, America had it's first Black President, first Woman President, and First Hispanic president?

Geena Davis had that show about the Woman President. Dennis Haysbert was President on 24, and I believe, West Wing had just elected Jimmy Smits when it was cancelled (although, technically. Martin Sheen is Hispanic too...... real name Estevez...)

I'm becoming a major TV junkie too. Since I've been on leave, I've been watching total garbage, like Tyra and Dr. Phil.

I also love shows that have been previously mentioned: Scrubs, anything on HGTV and Good Eats.

When I'm in the car, I listen to sports talk radio-only. I can't think of the last time I put on an FM station.

About half way through it's run, there was a West Wing marathon . My wife and I became junkies.
:thu:

When my wife went on maternity leave early with complications, she got hooked on West Wing and bought the first 3 seasons (what was out at the time) and watched it not stop on DVD and on Bravo.

I am hooked by association.

I'm hooked on Notorious on the Bio Channel. Some really interesting insight into the human species and how {censored}ed up our 'criminal justice' system really is. I record them so I can zap the commercials.

I am also strangely attracted to Ghost Hunters on the Sci Fi Channel. What a bunch of unscientific dolts trying to sound scientific. It's a hoot because they work for Roto Rooter by day and they go to all kinds of interesting places to 'measure' ghosts at night. It is really lame. I don't record them though. I'm not that far gone.

I really like Unsolved History and programs like it on the History Channel. They always provide some additional forensic insight into historical events. :thu:
