Members Nazman06 Posted September 2, 2007 Members Posted September 2, 2007 Anyone here use or played on an Avatar 2 x12..I was thinking of ordering one.
Members Emprov Posted September 2, 2007 Members Posted September 2, 2007 What would you like to know?
Members Nazman06 Posted September 2, 2007 Author Members Posted September 2, 2007 Is it worth buying..how does it sound?
Members mmb Posted September 2, 2007 Members Posted September 2, 2007 I've one as well with the Neo magnets. Very nice cab, well constructed with sturdy hardware. Lets the tone of your amp through real nice. I'm looking at another 212 or a 410 to stack with it.
Members Emprov Posted September 2, 2007 Members Posted September 2, 2007 Is it worth buying..how does it sound? Assuming that you're referring to the neo's, they're clean, articulate with just a touch of warmth. I really like mine and yes, I'd recommend them. They're not blow your mind type cabs but they sound really, really nice.
Members Nazman06 Posted September 2, 2007 Author Members Posted September 2, 2007 I have an SWR working man 4 x 10 right now..I usually run direct but at the gig last night I had to run mic'd..It sounded like crap..I am hoping the Avatar 2 x 12 will sound better

Yo.
Members Nazman06 Posted September 2, 2007 Author Members Posted September 2, 2007 now I found this? It looks ok ..I could stack it with my 4 x 10 swr working pro ,.,they will both be 8 ohms..My Carvin B800 head pushes 350 watts at 8 ohms. It pushes the entire 800 at 2 ohms.. http://www.carvin.com/products/single.php?ItemNumber=BR410&CID=BA
Members Ender_rpm Posted September 2, 2007 Members Posted September 2, 2007 If you're running a Carvin head, its not the cab that's the problem...
Members xOriginalNinjax Posted September 2, 2007 Members Posted September 2, 2007 If you're running a Carvin head, its not the cab that's the problem... +1...
Members james on bass Posted September 3, 2007 Members Posted September 3, 2007 I'm very happy with mine. Very nice full sound and I tend not to use the tweeter at all. If I didn't get such a great deal on the 15" cabs I also have, I would have added a 2nd 2x12 to my rig.
Members rikshaw Posted September 3, 2007 Members Posted September 3, 2007 mine has been my main gigging cab for about 2 years.
Members Nazman06 Posted September 3, 2007 Author Members Posted September 3, 2007 Or, I just found these I could buy..the Trace is $349.00 used..The carvin 4 x 10 is $329.00 used
Members Fiery Furnace Posted September 3, 2007 Members Posted September 3, 2007 I use the Avatar 2x12 pretty much as my only cab most of the time. I play in a fairly loud band and this baby holds it's own though a small tube amp with no PA support. I have never, ever, ever heard it even come close to farting out. I highly recommend it... I can't think of why I would need another cab, unless someone offered me a fridge and a van to haul it around (oh yeah... the Avatar is light too!)
Members Nazman06 Posted September 3, 2007 Author Members Posted September 3, 2007 well, I decided..I just ordered an Avatar B 2 x 12 neo..now, I am going to sell my SWR 4 x 10 working pro
