Members Funkee1 Posted September 3, 2007 Members Posted September 3, 2007 Damn! He Beat me to it!!! Oh the things I know....... Remember my idea of writing a book about how I have survived, despite failing at everything? Well, I bought this book at a clearance sale, and it's pretty funny, but it is exactly the tone I was looking for in my book. It's a combination parody of self- help books, and actual self- help book, operating on the premise that there are no quick answers....you have to learn by failing miserably and try again. Damn you, Al Franken!!!!!!
Members Rowka Posted September 3, 2007 Members Posted September 3, 2007 That's not the book you were supposed to get.
Members Emprov Posted September 3, 2007 Members Posted September 3, 2007 Well, if there's anyone who knows a thing or two about being happy...

Members Jim-Bass Posted September 4, 2007 Members Posted September 4, 2007 reminds me of when I found out The Beatles had already written and recorded all the songs I came up with during a heavy period of inspiration (..or was it heavy drinking? .can't remember)...and I had a better publishing deal ready too. Maybe I could sue them...I think that they invented a Time Machine in 1963, came to the future, found me and stole all my work while I was ...erm ...'asleep' ...then went back and did it all. How can I prove it? By the very fact that The Beatles recorded those songs and became very wealthy. Because if they had not done so, there would be no famous band called The Beatles, it would be me and my songs like 'I want to hold a beer can' and 'Beer, there, everywhere' and 'She Loves Brew' - see, notice how they subtly changed the titles? Of course no one believes me which only reinforces my argument.
Members 78pbass Posted September 4, 2007 Members Posted September 4, 2007 Al Franken's an alarmist Douchebag. Aside: I really liked "Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot" but still find his politics offbase. He should have stuck to comedy.
Members Funkee1 Posted September 4, 2007 Author Members Posted September 4, 2007 Agreed. This book ain't political, though.......
