They may be 'less versatile' in terms of electronics but they are NEVER completely out of place in any setting. You can get so many great sounds by altering position and attack. Plus IMHO everyone needs one good P. A good Fender P will always get the job done and is a great thing to have... that being said....there is nothing wrong with one of each!
