Members Taustin Powers Posted September 9, 2007 Members Posted September 9, 2007 So I'm trying to install a copy of Windows XP on my girlfriend's new iMac (using Parallels). It's a copy that came with her old laptop a few years ago, still the original cd. Problem is, she doesn't have the original cd sleeve with the product key anymore, so I'm kind of stuck right now. Question: Is the product key stored somewhere in Windows? We still have the laptop with XP still running on it. Is there any way we can find the original product key somewhere in there? It would be great to not have to buy a copy of XP just because we lost the product key. Maybe there would be a way to get it from Microsoft?
