Members Funkee1 Posted September 13, 2007 Members Posted September 13, 2007 I fixed the mic stand!!! A little JB weld, applied to the part that was coming apart, and voila!!! Now, I was careful not to put any on the threads, so if I ever need to, theoretically, I will be able to unscrew the boom arm, but I don't think I'll ever need to do that! Thanks for all the suggestions!

Members Apendecto Posted September 14, 2007 Members Posted September 14, 2007 Glad it worked for you. I've saved many a {censored} mic stands with it. Yo.
Members claypoolfan Posted September 14, 2007 Members Posted September 14, 2007 You forgot WD40! So I did. Good stuff.
Members Johnny_Crab Posted September 18, 2007 Members Posted September 18, 2007 It also keeps straploc screws from coming out of soft wood thus possibly preventing nice basses front hitting the floor. Never trusted that toothpick-in-the-hole trick myself.
Members s4001 Posted September 18, 2007 Members Posted September 18, 2007 You forgot WD40! Reminds me, I've gotta fix a tight truss rod nut.
Members ezstep Posted September 18, 2007 Members Posted September 18, 2007 JB Weld. Liquid duct tape, as we call it.
