Members Goofball Jones
Meh...know you don't want to hear this, but I never leave anything in my car. In fact, I don't even lock the doors on my car anymore. And if they for some reason want to steal the car itself, well, the joke will be on them. Just be careful C7, I know your pissed. But I don't want to read about you in the paper with either "man tried to take matters in his own hands and was shot/stabbed this morning" or "man tried to take matters in his own hands and was arrested for manslaughter this morning". Both outcomes suck. Hell, a DA could even cite these posts here as "premeditated". Of course...I get my law advice only from TV shows so don't know if that has any weight. Members Thumper
My Lord C7, don't you know that "violence completes the partial mind"? Let it go...find your center...be loving towards everyone and everything. And for Chrissakes, don't leave {censored} in your truck!! Right. It's his property in his truck, and no one has the right to take it. I was living in Louisville, KY in a recovering neighborhood in the mid-80s. One Sunday morning, I heard the alarm go off on my VW Golf. I stepped out on the second floor balcony and saw some knuckleheads breaking into my car. Me: 'Hey, knuckleheads, get away from my car!' Knuckleheads: 'F*ck you, cracka!' and popped off a couple rounds from a cheap-ass .25 automatic at me. I went back into the bedroom, grabbed my .45 auto off the mantle, and emptied into the dumpster next to my car. Mrs. Thumper, waking up: 'WTF are you doing?' Me: 'Shooting at some knucklehead car thieves.' We had zero break-ins for the rest of the time I lived in the complex.
Members DevilRaysFan
. I grew up in this hood and it's taken a serious {censored} over the last 5 years or so. When I found out my wife was pregnant, we decided to move. We had a similar experience in my old neighborhood, not to mention a knifing/murder. Same situation, though -- decent place originally but went downhill within about 5 years. The perps were crackheads that lived a few streets over and got busted. My new hood is a lot better but Im now seeing small signs that it will be heading that same downward direction some years from now............... Members Wanderlusterer
2 years ago, I lived in a house apartment, which were all separate of themselves. I went out to go do laundry on a Sunday as was the usual routine. across this vacant lot was a house where some 17 year old kid was under house arrest. Guess that didn't stop him cuz he decided after watching my schedule to break in and steal every piece of electronic equipment I owned. Over 500 cd's, a bose radio and a few other things. He even stole tokens I collected over the years at casinos throughout my travels across the u.s. when I was younger. For weeks I fumed, wanting to throw molotov cocktails at the house and just watch it burn. There's more to the story but what the hell. Since then, I've moved and picked up the bass. Members no-logic
I'm totally with ya on this one C7. There was a guy in Racine,WI that shot and killed a guy that was breaking into his girl friend's car. He didn't mean to kill the guy but I felt no pity because he wouldn't have gotten shot if he wasn't breaking into the car in the first place. If you're going to committ a crime, be prepared to pay whatever punish is dealt by whoever deals it. Beat him senseless!!!!!!!
Members lyricpoet
Message to C7 and collinwho: If you guys are homeowners, check your homeowner insurance policy and any accompanying riders. I was talking about this with someone last night and they said that items that are normally stored at home but are ripped off from your car can often be claimed under your primary policy. I guess no car insurer will do that- whether they should or shouldn't isn't the point. But getting {censored} ripped off from your car sucks (duh). Check it out! It may raise red flags with your insurer for next years' policy- if this would be your first claim, then I wouldn't think so. Hope this helps (hope you are both homeowners). Members walkerci
The really sick thing is that these perps are repeat offenders. What every happened to 3 strikes and you're out? The crackhead is undoubtably violating parole by using. Why isn't the parole officer making him get drug tested regularly. Then he would be back in the lockup where he belongs. The USA needs a points system for crime where if you do enough B&E, the punishment is life in prison. Add in a rape, a home invasion, a car jacking, a bank robbery, etc, you get death. I would never suggest death penalty for a first time violent offender, but for a career criminal, absolutely. There is absolutely no reason to allow serial violent offenders to live. The only way to stop crime is to get and keep repeat violent offenders off the street permanently. When the prisons fill up, there is a simple solution.Take the MF in the prison with the most violent offenses and shoot him. BTW, ever notice that many people that are pro-abortion are against the death penalty? For the record, I am pro-abortion in the first 90 days. Just sayin'. Bingo. My deductible is only $250, but we've already filed a claim for new storm doors this year (wind storm blew the old ones completely off), so we're not going to dick around with a $500 claim when it's already likely that our rates are going to go up.C7

Members Optimus Prime
I know that some of my brothers friends go around in the middle of the night taking iPods, DVD players, GPSs, beer, money and gas. And then they sell most of it and make some good money. Little bastards need to get real jobs. Buy some of those fireworks with the strings on both ends that pop when you pull them. Attach them to the inside of your car door. Hopefully when some one opens the door they'll think they're getting shot at. They would have to be pretty messed up to fall for that though. Have string on both ends and a little roll of paper in the center. When you pull both ends of the string it pops. We used to tie them to tools in tool boxes and when some one would try to take out a tool it would pop and echo because it was in the tool boxes.
