Members PaulyWally
I think I'm going to sell my Steinberger XT-25. Here's my quandry: The strings on the bass are in dire need of replacement.Steinbergers have double-ball strings. But, I do have the single-ball string adapter. Should I buy a new set of strings? Or should I just let whoever buys it get their own strings... especially since the adapter will allow them to get their favorite strings?

I'd let the buyer know before he bought it though. Before I sell any of my basses, I'll typically have them set up with a fresh set of strings. I try to ship the bass in the same condition that I'd like to receive it.

I try to ship the bass in the same condition that I'd like to receive it.Except that presumes that you know the buyer's preference of strings and gauges, and that they are available in your local shops. Since I immediately perform a setup to my tastes on all my basses when I receive them, and since a complete setup is a waste of time without a fresh set of strings, I just assume I'm gonna have to buy a set when I buy a bass.
