Members PaulyWally Posted September 24, 2007 Members Posted September 24, 2007 Here's an update to what's happening with my lastest band: Me and the singer find a guitard. We jam for about 6 weeks, then we find a drummer. Three days later, the guitard spazzes out and quits. However, the drummer we jammed with liked us and said he knows some people. So, last night we go to his place, and now he's on guitar and there's a different drummer there. It rocked... that's all I can say. Now we're just waiting to find out if the other drummer decides to stick with us long term. I think he wants to jam with us once more before he makes a permanent decision. I really hope he sticks around. With the other guy playing guitar, and this cat on the set... I was really diggin' the sound we were pushing out last night. I was really getting the feeling that everything was starting to fall into place.

Members PaulyWally Posted September 24, 2007 Author Members Posted September 24, 2007 Whaddaya sound like? Johnny Cash on crack. We started this thing as a swing-oriented Rockabilly band. A lot of tunes we started working on were real traditional Rockabilly... and it was headed in that direction. Then we jammed with this drummer. He's a heavy hitter who was brought up on old Country music... so he can swing his ass off! So what we've got now, are Jazz leads with a Honky Tonk rhythm section. And I don't know where all the energy is coming from... but everyone was playing balls to the walls last night. Well... compared to previous rehearsals anyway. And there is a lot more energy in reserve.
