At any rate, I can give you a verbal opinion on the bass. It's harder to play. Smaller landing space for notes, I have to be more accurate and the Gut and Steel combo strings are a lot harder to slap than whackers. However, it's way easier to carry around. I can lift it with one hand. It fits around corners and slips into the car more easily. There is no drop in volume even though it's smaller and because it's a better quality bass it sounds a million times better. The neck is faster, although I think I'm going to have to rough up the back of it a bit. The high gloss finish will make it a bit sticky on stage I think. So there's my first impression.
