Members PJaye
Hi Was wondering if anyone here has experience with the Peavey Pro 210 bass cab. It uses two Blue Marvel 1056-8 speakers. How does it compare to the 210TVX? With a fiver? Thanks.
Members Markee
It's been my experience that the Blue Marvel speaker in general is sub-par across the board. That being said you should let your ears and your wallet decide. It may make just the sound you're looking for.
Members rcz
the really big difference between the pro and TVX cabs is in roadworthiness. the pro cabs are built from plywood and have more bracing. the TVX cabs are made from MDF. MDF is great for sound quality, but it breaks apart easier. according to the spec sheets the pro 210 is 103dB sensitive, whereas the TVX is 95dB. this is a huge difference. even though sensitivity ratings should be viewed with extreme skepticism, combined with the other data in the spec sheet, the pro 210 should be louder and wider range than the TVX. this is a good thing for a 5, though it's really hard to tell if something sounds good with a whatever bass until you play through it with your amp and settings. robb.
