Members Thunderbroom Posted October 8, 2007 Members Posted October 8, 2007 'cause I can't sleep. I normally get up at this tme during the week; however, the College is closed today for classes. I have work to do, so I was going in anyway but not until a few hours later. Guess I'll go in sooner than planned. Anybody else have their internal clock do this to them?

Did you ever do submarine duty? Try coming back after a 6-month cruise living on 18-hour days. That was bizarre.
Members Perfessor Posted October 8, 2007 Members Posted October 8, 2007 I used to work all 3 shifts. After I got off midnights I kept wanting to stay up till the early morning like I was about to change over to night shift again. That lasted a year or so.

Members mlwarriner Posted October 8, 2007 Members Posted October 8, 2007 Anybody else have their internal clock do this to them? i'm awake between 5:00 and 5:30 almost every day. which really sucks when you don't get home from last night's gig until about 2:00 am...
Members Jazz Ad Posted October 8, 2007 Members Posted October 8, 2007 I can tell you why I was awake at 3.30 am. The obvious goal was to be late at work today and get a brushing from my boss. Yeah, I just love that. It's a conspiration against me I'm sure.
Members y-o-y Posted October 8, 2007 Members Posted October 8, 2007 I rise with the sun. As a result, my wake time kinda fluctuates throughout the year. I can't sleep late to save my life. I have been this way for as long as I can remember. I don't think I have ever slept past 10:00 am - not even after a late night of boozin'.
Members ToeJamFootball Posted October 8, 2007 Members Posted October 8, 2007 Insomnia sucks. It's almost as sucky as Anxiety.

Members L-1329 Posted October 8, 2007 Members Posted October 8, 2007 My internal clock is so messed up it just gave up and left. My schedule is chaos, and can be totally different every day. Sometime I have to get up at 2am, other times I don't get back to 2am. I deal with different time zones a lot on top of that, and most of the time I don't know what time I'll have to get up for work until the day/night before hand. Needless to say, I've learned a huge appreciation for a quality nap, only thing that saves me sometimes.
Members bnyswonger Posted October 8, 2007 Members Posted October 8, 2007 I usually can't sleep more than 6 hours.
Members Mudbass Posted October 8, 2007 Members Posted October 8, 2007 I've been wondering the same thing since 1984.
