Members Fran da Man Posted October 9, 2007 Members Posted October 9, 2007 Whoever that guy is with the so-called national acts, is a pure dick. He's got everyone playing his game. The reason why i say game?...look, he brings in these Extreme whatever things, yet doesn't apply the admittance/entrance fee to that segment of the Festival, meaning he doesn't know if it will bring any money in and of itself, so he imposes a fee on the event in general. He gets away unscathed (monitarily) whatever the outcome.Plus with him charging an overall fee...he never had faith in his plan to begin with. As for the Kiwanis folks...why didn't anyone stop this guy?

Eventually people quit going there, and he closed it up.
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted October 9, 2007 CMS Author Posted October 9, 2007 I avoid involvement in "charity" events. Very few are charitable, and way too many dollars get skimmed. There are horror stories a-plenty over in Live Sound about providing PA support to these events.
