Members barneyc4
have any of you changed the stock pickups on your USA J or P bass? What do you have now? How are the stock pickups? Worth keeping?

Members Optimus Prime
I want the Fender Noiseless pickups. I wouldn't have any noise from my bass if I only had the bridge pickup turned up like I do now, right?
Members Poltergeist
if you get some good EMG's or SD's, you would have any problems with noise either...
Members Thumper
My '79 Franken P/J has Duncan SPB-1 and STK-J1 pups on board. It only had a DiMarzio P (non-functioning) when I got it. The Duncans sound very nice. I'd keep the stock pups so you can reinstall them if you decide to sell the bass.
