Members seraphim7s
I mean, obviously not for playing a gig ... but considering that I need to record guitar at low volumes in my flat - wouldn't this be perfect?! http://www.mannsmusic.co.uk/product_detail.asp?prodid=32753 (I apologise for the guitar content - but I know a lot of people here play it, some as their primary instrument!) Members Super Bass
I've heard a lot of good things about them. You could play a gig with one easily if you miked it!

Members fretless
I say yes . It's still gonna be loud though . I have a 4 watt Kay that screams , it helps to put a good distortion box in front of it sometimes . Throw a 57 on it , way better then any modeler IMO . :poke:
Members seraphim7s
... a 57? You mean an SM57? I hope to get a Tele '52 reissue to go with this baby. I have no ambition to play guitar live (that's the guitarist's job) but I need one for demos and such.

I have a 30 watt Marshall tube amp that gets silly loud. The unfortunate thing is, usually with a guitar amp, they need to be cranked to get that nice overdrive sound going on. Heck...+1 on the SM57 too...they are the industry standard on guitar amps for a reason.
Members misterhinkydink
Hell yeah!!!! Champs are excellent recording amps. Like the guitar tone on 'Layla' ? That was EC and Duane Allman both on Champs. EC played one almost exclusively in the studio with Derek and the Dominoes.
Members guitargod0dmw
Plus...Zappa had one in his garage. It was next to the 54' with a mashed up door...he played through it with a 2nd hand guitar...a Stratocaster with a whammy bar...

Members Thumper
Run it through an extension cab, though. That 6" driver isn't going to do much in the way of tone.
