Guys, a quicky.. Do fretless basses have their necks set more towards being flat or more towards the 'bowed' (relief) direction?

Cheers

I have mine with just a tad bit of relief and the strings are almost sitting on the fretboard.

you can get board buzz which will ruin tone and intonation

i set mine as you would a fretted..

and tested the string plucked at the '1st fret' position for bow and likewise the 12th for action

the string height setting for fretted at the 12th of around 1/8" still holds good for fretless...albeit its from the underside of the string to the board..

if you pluck deep for a urb sound muted you will need a bit more of both
