Members Thumper
are finally installed in my '62 Jazz reissue. I bought it new in 1987 and love the tone, but I was getting fed up with the Dreaded Jazz Bass Hum. Installation was easy, as it's a direct replacement set. I had to use the original covers, as the covers that came with the new pups were a bit too large to fit without forcing. The tone is almost the same as the original pups, with just a touch more mids---and zero hum. I get plenty of thump from the neck pup, and the bridge pups still growls like a pit bull on crack. Thumper is one happy bunny. I also now have a pair of original '62 Jazz pups (vintage 1987) looking for a home...
Members rummy
No soundclips, no pickups. So you get a little more mids. Do you hear anything the noiseless pickups took away anything from the single coils?

Members Thumper
No recording gear, hence no clips. The pups added some mids. The only thing they took away is the hum.
