have you heard "For whom the bell tolls" by Hemingway? its a book about the spanish civil war, might intrest you... won the nobel prize...

 

 

yea I read it...and absolutely hated it. Hemingway is waaaaaaaay over-rated.

And as much as I hated that book it still is no where nearly as horrific as Catch-22. Talk about taking the suck award to a whole new level....GOD!!!

If you like history books and the like, you might like it. It's kind of like the Sgt. York story. Country boy grows up to be most decorated Marine in history kind of thing. Not everyones cup of tea, but I enjoyed it.
