a few months back I use Silvo on some of the chrome on my Ric. I was billiant 'cause the chrome parts were the only giveaway that it was 30 years old.

The G&L I recently got has a superb finish but the chrome parts ( tuners, bridge saddles) are pretty grubby. I gave it the silvo but it didn;t work as well as on the Ric.

Any suggestions on how I could get back the gleam. Good ol'l elbow grease? .I live by the sea and would like to have them on diplay. Yes, I could keep them in their cases but they must be seen and played!

What is this "Cleaning" you speak of???

I used some "CLR" on my golf clubs once and they came up like new.

(Calcium, Lime, Rust)

It's pretty heavy duty stuff for bringing shiny metal objects back to their best. :thu:

You can probably pick some up in the auto section at Kmart or big W, or at most auto accessories places like Repco, Auto 1, etc....
