This was one of the most popular beers we sold at World Market when I still worked there. Everyone loved it, but yeah, it's kind of pricey.

Not a fan of too many dogfish beers personally though, they're all too strong. I like ales/lagers.

I like ales/lagers.

IPA's are ales...

All beers can be classified as an ale or a lager. It's all about what type of yeast they use...ale yeast (top fermenting, warm temperature) or lager yeast (bottom fermenting, cold temperature)

:cop:

Except California Common, or "Steam Beer" which is a lager brewed at ale temperature. Or Lambic beer, which is a totally different beast.

Love me some beer, and I love to brew beer as well. :)

not too many people are

What's not to like in a beer that tastes of berries, bubble gum, acid, vinegar and sour milk???? All in one sip????

Yeah it's too expensive to drink regularly

Isn't it almost 10% alcohol?

If you look at it that way, you can pay twice as much as Miller or Bud and you're still getting your money's worth. :thu:

Actually you have that reversed. It's an ale, fermented with a Lager yeast that can ferment at higher than normal temps, normally around 50-60 range. Lager's are normally fermented quite a bit lower than that.

YES. I LOVE this beer! Except it has about 300 calories per serving :(

Two of them and I'm nicely buzzed. (Doesn't take much these days).

When I lived in DC and rented a share in a beach house in Delaware we used to go to the Dog Fish Head brewery in Rehoboth Beach...those were good times.
