Members L-1329 Posted November 3, 2007 Members Posted November 3, 2007 Seriously, should it be a huge problem to see a part on a website, order it, and have the correct part get sent out? So first I ordered a bridge from all parts. All specs matched up, looked like the best bet. Until it arrived, being spaced way too big and not at all what was spec'd out on their website. Back it goes, then they say all their in stock bridges are mis-marked, and they won't get a correct one in for two months. F***!!! So while I'm waiting for that I bought a small part for my new project, a pickup surround for a P pup. Their picture on the website shows a reverse P, and in an email to confirm this they said the picture was 'taken backwards' and it really is a standard P. Ok, order up. Came in today, a nice shiney reverse P. I mean WTF, does anyone in any companies give a {censored} anymore about getting things right? This kind of stuff really wears on my patience, and wastes a LOT of my time which is worse. I swear you can't rely on or depend on anyone anymore, no matter what they say, which totally and completely sucks.
Members 82Daion Posted November 3, 2007 Members Posted November 3, 2007 Couldn't you just flip the part? That does suck, though.
Members L-1329 Posted November 3, 2007 Author Members Posted November 3, 2007 Couldn't you just flip the part? That does suck, though. The back looks terrible, and the screw holes are beveled from the front only. I might have to, but I sure don't want to...
Members 82Daion Posted November 3, 2007 Members Posted November 3, 2007 The back looks terrible, and the screw holes are beveled from the front only. I might have to, but I sure don't want to... Yikes. Sounds like the one on my old Yamaha... I'd send it back. Where did you get it from?
Members Super Bass Posted November 3, 2007 Members Posted November 3, 2007 That sucks. I've got one parts bass with another one coming together in the next few months. I know how you feel about wrong parts, it sucks. I've gotten used to having to "bodge" things so they fit. Has the body already been routed for a regular P or could you do it reverse? If not I'd send them back the part!
Members L-1329 Posted November 3, 2007 Author Members Posted November 3, 2007 I'd send it back. Where did you get it from? Allparts. They're 0-2 right now, and they better come up with the right one this time since they TOLD me it was correct.
Members L-1329 Posted November 3, 2007 Author Members Posted November 3, 2007 Has the body already been routed for a regular P or could you do it reverse? If not I'd send them back the part! Yeah, the body is being routed at Warmoth already, and as minor as this thing sounds it is actually a pretty important thing for the overall finish of the bass.
Members Super Bass Posted November 3, 2007 Members Posted November 3, 2007 I'd send the part back! Is this what you're looking for?? Bass parts resource have them. Thats where I buy all my smaller parts, haven't let me down yet! EDIT: They're $15 cheaper too!!

Members Super Bass Posted November 4, 2007 Members Posted November 4, 2007 No problemo just make sure you post pics when you put it together!
Members L-1329 Posted November 4, 2007 Author Members Posted November 4, 2007 No problemo just make sure you post pics when you put it together! Uno problemo. The part number they have IS the allparts number, so they are going to order that part from allparts, and allparts still has the wrong part. So I still need to hear from allparts. Thanks for the heads up though, I've never used bass parts resource yet...
Members Super Bass Posted November 4, 2007 Members Posted November 4, 2007 You could email bass parts resource to ask? Yeah its a pretty cool site, cheapest place I've found that sells the badass II. Plus the shipping is pretty reasonable.

If you order something and it arrives broken or they have sent the wrong part DO NOT expect any replies to your emails or any vague form of support. My last 3 orders with them were screwed, no replies.. I no longer use them.
