Members Pickdust
I watched a couple of rock-umentaries last night on VH1 that actually didn't suck. First was one on Sid Barrett. Helped a lot in understanding where Pink Floyd came from and how they developed onto what most people recognize today........or 20 years ago. The second was on The Who. Bunches and bunches of stuff that I didn't know about them. I forgot how young Keith Moon was when he died.....only 32! Anyhoo......if you get a chance I recommend you watch them. That is all. Members fretless
32 is pretty old for a rocker to survive and how many young kids get to cut their tunes at Abbey Roads ?
Members bassman1956
Around here, seems VH1 hasn't had much to do with music in a few years. Without the upper tier of channels, at least.
Members Goofball Jones
I know, VH1 used to be great with the Behind-the-Music stuff (even though it was all the same "story"), but then for some reason they decided to be a reality show channel. Members dogman
I know, VH1 used to be great with the Behind-the-Music stuff (even though it was all the same "story"), but then for some reason they decided to be a reality show channel. thats my biggest gripe with all of the so-called "music" channels, Mtv, M2, VH1,Fuse,etc..they all seem to be more obsessed now with following the trend of the bull{censored} network downward spiral..all "reality" crap shows catering to mindnumbing mentality,( Flavor Flav,Love New York,The Hills,etc..) f*#k'n pitiful pap that has NOTHING to do with music, pisses me off to no end. If VH1Classic ever goes this route(I pray it never does) I will give up on it all together.
Members misterhinkydink
I watched that Who documentary last night and thought it was pretty good. I had forgotten about that Smothers Brothers show where Keith blew up his drums.
