Members Fiery Furnace
I noticed earlier today when trying my new YBA 200 that when I hit a 'D' the note was a lot louder, bassier, and shook the room. Notes a half step away sounded similear. Lower notes (low 'E') didn't do this. I've noticed this with a different amp as well as a different bass. My cabs are both Avatar's (2x10 and 2x12). Do you experience anything like this with your cabs?
Members ezstep
I have noticed it with rooms, but not with cabs. All rooms (entire buildings even) are somehow "tuned" to a certain frequency. The high school auditorium is Eb. Hit an Eb and it just booms. Hit an E natural or D natural and it doesn't resonate the same. But, it is the building or the room, not the cabinet. EDIT: they aren't tuned, but for lack of a better word, that is what I used. I should have said that the room vibrates differently to differing notes, and you can usually find that one note that shakes the walls.
Members Fiery Furnace
Yeah. Huh, maybe it is the room. Well this room is definetly a D! Think it has to do with the size of the room? This room is fairly small and long. Or more to do with building materials etc?
Members Super Bass
My bedroom is tuned to G. I noticed it while I was playing earlier.
