Members misterhinkydink
There's only one kind, the original straight-back SVT cabinet that resembles a refrigerator. I can't tell from those pics.
Members REMUS
Oh I just meant which 8x10 was it, I know the original SVT was the first to be dubbed the 'fridge', but I just refer to any 8x10 as a 'fridge', sorry if that confused things. Members misterhinkydink
Ask the seller for better pictures. Now that I look closer the dust covers on the drivers look like the later version.
Members Optimus Prime
The only Ampeg cab that can handle over 500 is an 8x10. They're so massive I don't want one. I guess a Mesa 4x10 (600 watts) for taking places and one of these for home? Overkill? Lots of money.
Members Texas Noise Factory
The logo looks like a later version. ask if it has two wheels on the bottom and a handle at the top of the back side of it.

Jane Q: Which exact 8x10 model is this? 06-Nov-07 A: Hi there, The plate on the back just says " Model SVT ", I'm afraid I can give no more info. Thanks for your interest Jane. Members Fiery Furnace
I think it's just a normal mid 90's fridge, it's just that camera flashes reveal speakers through cloth.
Members REMUS
hmm ok, so that would be the 810E?

Members Fiery Furnace
I don't think, not any more than the other modern fridges. IMHO, IIRC, the only distinction for the ampeg fridge is modern vs vintage
Members REMUS
I'm tempted by it tbh, since I want to get an SVT II Pro next year some time accompanied by an 8x10 of some description.

Members bikehorn
There were a bunch of different 8x10s produced by Ampeg. One had 7 normal drivers and the eighth was a coaxial driver with a horn. Then a bunch of other "modern" looking ones with probably different drivers or power handling or something. There was not "just one fridge". Anyway I think this one's a regular Classic series one.
Members Rippin' Robin
Ask for a serial number. You can date all mid 90s stuff.
Members hawkhuff
The original fridge, I had two in 1974, had the classic grille cloth and was not transparent. That one, and I am only guessing, is a more recent version.

Members REMUS
It's such a pain in the ass that he doesn't have a camera this is why i'm confused, it looks like a vintage, and I know a flash can make the mesh seem translucent. Members misterhinkydink
Now that I think about it, since the rear tag has so little information, I now believe that's an MTI-era (1980-1985) cabinet. All of the MTI stuff, the SVT, V7, V5 and V3, had minimal labeling. This is the upper half of a sawed-in-half early cabinet.
