Members ec437
Is playing music in a public place legally considered "distribution" of said music?
Members sunburstbasser
Are you playing it on a portable stereo, or are you performing? What sort of public place? Its one of those questions that needs lots of info, because there are rules for all kinds of things and depending on situation one may be legal and one not. Another school question! Movies are usually pay per view either through cable, at the movies or dvd sales. Music is free over the airwaves. Unless you are running a for-profit business, and using the music as part of a business such as piped in music for people browsing a store, you're free to blast away!
