Members hawkhuff
Yeah I did in some of the 3-4 hours of continuous rambling on ESPN last night, that they had evidence of positive drug tests somewhere. Then it had to have been the Baseball League? Who else would test him?
Moderators ThudMaker Posted November 16, 2007 Moderators Share Posted November 16, 2007 I'm not sure why any team would sign Barry Bonds. At this point in his career I think the headache in the locker room would be too great. About the only team it might makes sense for is Tampa Bay, just because they need the publicity and it might put a few more butts in the seats, even if they suck. Again, who knows what they've pried out of his trainer as far as dirt goes, that he's going to testify about in court.

However, with this indictment hanging over his head and a long legal process head of him, I don't think ANY team will take a chance on him until it's all over. And even then, he's pretty washed up. He's only useful as a DH and he doesn't wanna do that and he will command way more money than he is actually worth. I think he has blacklisted himself in the league unless he wants to play for somewhere around $5 mil a year.

I was just watching ESPN and they didn't say but they did say he tested positive. Perjury and obstruction of justice are serious charges when the feds are concerned. But I still think he's going to get off. I would bet on it. I'll call Pete Rose.
