Members willsellout
Yeah...I want to start working on my own stuff to get more affluent and figured with this I'd get a chance to work with the nut, electronics (passive), and once again have the pleasure of doing the fretwork. Plus I don't have a bass tuned that way. I decided against the TF fretted so this is the next logical choice:D I'm thinking this one, does anyone know the string spacing on these? Maybe a couple hundred in parts and i will have a bass that rivals any american made Fender jazz out there methinks. Dan
Members chubrocker
Ironically enough, I've thought about changing my 5er's strings to high C. I've been playing some intro guitar parts lately at church and it would be nice to have the higher register. I say GO FOR IT!!!

What are the most "Jaco" like jazz PU's available? Dan
Members sunburstbasser
Those Duncans in the Squier VMs are pretty Jaco-y. Or you could try Kent Armstrongs, which are just nice pickups all around.

Members Zebra
I'm really, really close to jumping on an SX guitar. I'm just too damn sheepish about buying stuff, though. Worse yet, there's this for $80 B-stock right now:
