Members slapthefunkyfour
One of those files is missing from my computer and one of my programs will not function correctly now. BTW, it's Solidworks 2008 SP1.0. If you have to use this program, try to wait till SP3 or later.
Members HackedByChinese!
Dynamic Link Library. An extremely pedantic explanation can be found here. Search online and see if you can get a copy of the one you're missing. Barring that, run a repair install in Windows from the original media and see if that fixes it. Members Verlian
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic-link_library If it's just for the software, if you can try repairing from the install. But not everything can do that.
Members Jazz Ad
DLL = dynamic link library. To put it shortly, it's a toolbox for applications. It contains bribes of applications and functions that programs can use instead of programming them again everytime they're needed. If one is missing it can mean :- That it got erased by mystake (not bad)- That the application isn't properly installed (needs reinstall)- That your system directory is {censored}ed up (pretty bad) Generic dlls can usually be found for free through Google. Some less common ones are part of applications and won't be found but on the original CDs.
