Members Noise...
I need a new set of strings, and I want a deeper, darker sound from my Jazz Bass. Will a set of flatwounds do the trick? Will I lose a lot of definition with them? And, most importantly, will they still sound good with a Big Muff Pi? Members Thumper
Flats kill on a Jazz Bass. I've had webstrings stainless flats on my '62 Jazz reissue for the last six months. They still sound great. You'll still have plenty of definition for your fuzz---just solo the bridge pup with the tone cranked.
Members Noise...
Nice. I'll go for a set then. What brands are best for the sound I want? Getting them to last for six months would be great as well.
Members Thumper
I'm a big fan of webstrings. Flats go for $16 a set, and they sound nice.
Members Noise...
I don't know if my local guitar shop carries webstrings - Are D'addarios good if I can't find the webstrings? Does Ernie Ball make flatwounds?

Members Noise...
How are their guitar strings? They have amazing prices, and I'm in dire need of some new guitar strings (acoustic and two electrics that all need restrung..) How long does shipping take?
