Some people complain about the weight but it's lighter than my Ibanez BTB 6 As for the sound, growly as hell and cuts through the mix perfectly. I got mine with Seymour Duncan Basslines as opposed to the stock MEC and I simply adore the sound. Go on, try one out. They aren't for everyone though and I can understand why some people dislike them, but I'm perfectly happy with mine!
