Members justinbass
I am looking to get a 5 string, neck through, active BC Rich. For those of you that have them, what do you think of the stock electronics? I am looking at these two:

Members Wanderlusterer
I am looking to get a 5 string, neck through, active BC Rich. For those of you that have them, what do you think of the stock electronics? I am looking at these two: from just recently owning the Heritage Classic Mockingbird, I'd say it was pretty good. I've got an Ibby with some S.D. QP3's and comparatively the sound was about the same. Not quite but about. If anything, the tone was maybe a bit softer/lighter than the Seymour Duncans, but only by a bit. That's to say, that I owned the 4 string and not the 5'er though, so maybe there's a diff. Between playing it in the SVT and the SB12 the only thing different I noticed was a small feedback buzz coming from the SVT, but part of that was because it usually happened from the B.C. sitting right next to the amp. That's my .02 for the day.
Members burdizzos
I've been very pleased with the electronics on my NJ Warlock. The preamp isn't as good as the one in my USA Cirrus, but it does a fine job. It sounds like you'd expect it to and gives you very reasonable tonal options. Members LanEvo
I have always had a thing for Mockingbirds...Ditto. Vintage Mockingbirds are cool...especially ones with koa wings Never been a fan of the Warlock myself. To me, it just screams "cheesy 80's hair metal." Might as well get it in fluorescent green. I wish somewhere locally had these in stock. I am going to be calling around to everywhere.
Members picker13
Me too on the Mockingbird. I'd love to get a vintage USA Mockingbird bass. A natural wood finish, maybe even Koa would be supreme.
