Members ToeJamFootball
There is something wrong with my rig. I have ruled out the cables, and inputs etc. It's not the fuse because it is still powering up. There is a single lead loose inside the cab. Can someone post a schematic of how an 8 ohms 4x10 should be wired up? I am assuming it is two lots of 2 speakers in series paralleled? Thanks guys. Members gearbot
Nice series/parallel schematic at http://www.usspeaker.com/Enter the site and on the left is a blue menu with white lettering. Speaker wiring is at the bottom. Q: If you know there is a lead missing, you must have seen it. Did you try to simply reconnect the loose lead? Members mrcrow
this speaks volumes...apart from the correct wiring diagram...there should be no loose ones..unless a tweeter has been dewired..in which case take the wire out completely
Members ToeJamFootball
I plugged it in randomly and got it too work. I hope it didn't do any damage to my head. The wiring looks different to that schematic.
Members agedhorse
Don't plug it in randomly, you could cause unintended damage to your amp. Are the drivers 8 ohms or 16 ohms? The diagram "whatsabass" provided is correct for 8 ohm drivers.
