Members Verlian
I don't practice santeria I aint got no crystal ball. I had a million dollars but I'd, I'd spend it all. If i could find that heina and that sancho that she's found, Well I'd pop a cap in sancho and I'd slap her down. What I really wanna know, my baby, What I really want to say i can't define. Well it's love, that I need, oh , But my soul will have to, Wait till I get back and find heina of my own. Daddy's gonna love one and all. I feel the break, feel the break, Feel the break and I got to live it up, oh , Yeah huh, well i swear that I. What I really wanna know, baby, What I really want to say I can't define. That love make it go, My soul will have to... What I really wanna say, my baby, What I really wanna say is I've got mine. And I'll make it, yes, I'm comin' up. Tell sanchito that if he knows what is good for him he best go run and hide. Daddy's got a new .45. And I won't think twice to stick that barrel straight down sancho's throat. Believe me when I say that I got somethin for his punk ass. What I really wanna know, my baby, What I really wanna say is there's just one, Way back, and I'll make it, yeah, But my soul will have to wait. yeah, yeah, yeah. Members bholder
I "don't get" that band. Take a really catchy refrain, nice melody, and the ruin the song with punkass "I wanna be a tough guy" crap verse lyrics. Nope, not for me. He was good, but not nearly enough to justify the adulation. Thought heroin would improve his art. What a dumbass.

Members bholder
Eh, I like it... It's sorta sad and funny. Well, I halfway agree with you anyway. Sad. I do like the refrain, he did have a knack for those stick-in-your-ear singsong melodies. Some of their stuff isn't bad, I think they had some promise. But he's still a dumbass. Moderators Kindness Posted December 7, 2007 Moderators Share Posted December 7, 2007 There is no filter in Sublime's music. The covers are the music they love. The lyrics are no more or less intelligent than they were. The music is an honest combination of influences. The bassline in that song is taken from an earlier instrumental piece of theirs that I love. I can't hold them up as idols of coolness, but I admire the artistic openess and honesty, both the better and the worse.

I really can't say that I agree with you. I mean, everyone has their opinions. I enjoy most of Sublimes songs, they aren't my favorite or anything at all. It's sorta like listening to In Rainbows by Radiohead, every once in a while not none stop.

Well put. I love that bassline but they don't have a whole lot of music I dig. I heard once that a lot of their music were just jams with improv lyrics. If that's true, I could see it. Yo. Members Spin Cycle
I don't get 'em either, beyond the "catchy" aspect. Has anyone else noticed that the first verse of What I Got is Lady Madonna?
Members REMUS
Read the second sentence here I hardly think that makes him a dumb ass, but I can see your point. Plenty musics greatest have used opiates from classical, rock and ska...etc
