Honestly, several of us G-K owners (past and present) have different views about each of the different models. One thing we all agree on is that G-K makes some of the best bass amps out there right now----considering both production and boutique amps combined. My 1001 is not much more powerful and my BL212 swallows halfstacks at half volume. A 700rbII and a big cab would be fine against a halfstack. More than fine.
