Members Fishyfan
I, along with many others probably, want to see and hear some people use these oh-so-cool instruments in the context of a band or in a solo environment. Rules:1. The video must have at least AUDIBLE evidence that an 8, 10 or 12 string bass was used. 2. The video can be of anything, solo performance, band, whatever, as long as the dominant bass instrument has 8, 10 or 12 strings. 3. The basses must be in the style of a bass which has octave strings added to the normal bass strings. Ill start. 12 string 10 string Played by the man who invented it. 8 string 8 string i think that will get you started..... Members mlwarriner
i can't youtube at work, and have no idea what those videos are, but do a youtube search for Jean Baudin. he's one of the best examples i've seen. also - keep an eye out for our very own bassius. another fine example of a killer ERB. Members Fishyfan
very nice stuff, but the rules are quite clear about the style of 8/10/12 string bass. the style is not the kind with a fretboard the size of a boat, but the kind which has octave strings.
