UPS lost my order

I try never to use UPS. DHL and Fedex are always good to me. My favorite is Fedex.

Yup, Fedex is one of my favourites. Actually surprisingly my favourite has to be USPS, its quicker than the others most of the time. Plus, when it gets here it gets handled by our national postal company who are pretty good. :)

I have a compressor coming, hopefully tomorrow. But USPS doesn't do tracking, just delivery confirmation, so I have no idea where it is, or when it'll be here.

I hate UPS for stuff coming from the States. They (and Fedex too) charge big brokerage fees for taking care of customs and duties, but Fedex at least will let us take care of that ourselves. UPS, when asked, has told us they can leave it at the warehouse in Winnipeg (would be a whole weekend trip to drive out there and get it) and that we can pick it up there if we don't want them to do customs for us. I prefer USPS-Canada Post over both. Usually cheaper, no brokerage fees (Mail lady shows up at my door, and asks for whatever the 6% GST works out to) and often faster than they say it will be (got stuff from Warmoth in 3 days, instead of 2-3 week estimate).

I ordered it from Chuck Levins and it was drop shipped from Bag End. Levins e-mailed me tonight and said they talked to Bag End. Bag End says they can't stop shipment and want me to accept delivery to see if it's damaged so they can file a claim? Delivery? That was supposed to happen on the 18th! So it looks like neither are going to do anything. I'm done with the deal and will call Levins today to tell them to credit it back to my card. If not I will despute the charge.
